Memories (day 4)

Day 04 - A picture of someone you miss.

This post is hard for me. I miss someone greatly. I miss my PeePaw. My PeePaw ("peep") was a great man, so kind and caring to everyone he met. He was also my biggest fan. I was his granddaughter and he was always quick to tell his friends (or even strangers) that I was smart, pretty and a jock. This used to embarrass me a little just because I didn't like the attention it brought me. Looking back he was just so proud of me.
He was involved in a horrible accident when I was younger and no one thought he would make it. Well he did and I was fortunate that he was around to watch me and my brother and cousin grow up. I was one of his favorite people and in turn, he was mine!
He died in 2007 just a couple of months before I graduated high school. He died the week of the play I was in. I had one of the main  roles in Cheaper by the Dozen and he had promised to sit in the front row. He didn't make it to my play in person but I know he was looking down on me with a huge smile on my face. He didn't see me walk across the stage at graduation but I know he was smiling down on me. I also like to think that the day I found out I got into UGA (my dream) he was jumping for joy because he knew before I did that my dreams were coming true.
The day he died was hard for me and one I will never forget but I have the memories and little things to help me remember.
